If you get an opportunity before the fair ends on Sunday, October 27, stop by the Kerr Scott Building to view our students' art work, as well as hundreds of other artists from all over North Carolina. There is an incredible pottery exhibit as well.
Congratulations to Nicole (7-1), Lee (8-4), Keelie (8-1), Olivia (7-1), Maho (7-4) and Mary Kate (8-1) for being selected to represent our school at the State Fair Art Competition.

Saturday afternoon, October 5th, was a beautiful day for the "Celebration of Children in the Arts." Amidst a flurry of young ballet dancers and sounds of live classical music , an impressive visual arts exhibit was the backdrop at the Cary Ballet Conservatory. Congratulations to several LRMS art students as their abstract acrylic paintings were selected to represent our school in this community outreach event to promote local young fine artists. If you have not visited, a permanent exhibit is certainly eye-catching -- the large wall hanging installation of former ballet slippers that are now intricate pieces of art in themselves (pictured below). Thank you to Ms. Murley, Director of CBC, for this unique opporunity to partner with you. |
